France 2019 -Day 2: Caen

Took the train from Gare St. Lazare to Caen. I have to say once again how fantastic European trains are! Fast, smooth and on time.  No "clickety-clack", but rather smooth, quiet and comfortable.

Short cab ride to Hotel Mercure, then explored some of this lovely city.

This is a photo of one of the only churches that was not destroyed by bombs.

Had a delicious lunch at local cafe Le Bistronome bistronome-caen.com. Highly recommend!

For dinner, we ate at Le P'Tit B:

France 2019 - Day 1: Paris

Walked to Willie's Wine Bar and had a wonderful meal with Paulette, Robin and Tim:

. . . then short cab ride to Eiffel Tower:

then back to hotel. Good night sleep!

France 2019 - Travel Day

Super smooth sailing from hotel to airport, through security in a wink with 2 hours to spare. Easy, short flight to Dallas with brief layover . . . Then 35 minute delay due to missing first aid kit on plane (777 by the way, very nice).

On to Heathrow, exhausted upon arrival, rushed to make connection and arrived in Paris on time.

Cab to hotel, some wine and Capriesse salad, then nap.
