Goodbye Dear Friend
At 12:55pm today, Jane passed away.
Her sister Terry and I were at her side as she drew her last, shallow breaths, and left our presence for the Presence.

Dear Doug:
Now that Jane is with God, take some deep breaths, and allow yourself to grieve. Love and Prayers, Regina
The thoughts and prayers of many of the SAGH community are with you Doug (and the family). Words are inadequate. Thanks for keeping us up-to-date for these last few weeks.
You are in our prayers always.
Not "goodbye", just "see you later".
I've been praying for so long for God to take her in His time-- and He has, but now I'm crying all the more. Love and prayers for all of you. Sher
Dear Doug and family,
As someone said above, words are inadequate. I am very sorry for your loss. I think that it was very brave of you to share her last days with us on the two blogs. I appreciate the dignity with which you communicated what was happening and am touched by your faith. My thoughts are with you all. As you grieve, I think it's okay to be really angry, too, at this blasted disease called cancer, for robbing us all of so much. Peace, Dee
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for You are with me"..."Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever!"
Praying for you all.

We're sorry, Doug, for you, your family, and all who have known and loved Jane. I don't know exactly how heaven works, but I've been thinking how much Jane and my Mom would like each other. I "told" Mom in my prayers last night to keep an eye out for Jane's arrival. I think they'll be great friends. Peace be with you.

Know that you are in our prayers! Carol for all of us.
Doug: You and the children are in our thoughts. Thank you so much for sharing Jane's last days with us through your website. You and Jane were wonderful neighbors and friends and we will always have fond memories of the times and events we shared together.

When I am still, my mind floods with Jane.. various looks she had, the determination and absolute joy she carried while on the cycle, her soft-spoken voice and clearing her throat, the gift she had to play guitar, her desire to play softball well, and the practice that followed, her genuine heart for people, her pure love for you and your children.. She is treasured, and so are you, Doug. Love, MA
You and your family are in my prayers.
...Or if on joyful wing
Cleaving the sky
Sun moon and stars forgot
Upward I fly.
Still all my song shall be
Nearer my God to Thee
Nearer my God to Thee
Nearer to Thee.
God bless you and your family, Doug. Our love and prayers are with you.

We are so very sorry for the battle the Lord laid before you, but are thankful for your transparency through it all. Thank you for the lovely picture of Jane you have posted; it is the same beautiful smile I remember. I look forward to meeting her again on streets of gold and worshipping with her for all eternity.
Praying for comfort and strength-
Dale and Mary King and family
Thanks for all the time you've taken to keep us updated with your wonderful blog entries.
Mel and I continue to pray for you, Doug, Terry, Matt, Daniel and Amy. May His peace and comforting arms envelope you!
I join these friends in saying thank you so much for your transparent and poignant entries. You have graciously allowed us to share you heart and soul. Thank you Doug. Like Melinda, my thoughts are so fond of Jane; her smile, her laugh, her dry wit, I so loved that. I look at this picture and cannot believe she is gone. May our loving God comfort you with His faithful love.
